Description:

Brothers and sisters of kids with disabilities now have a chance to meet, have fun, and talk with other teens whose siblings have special needs. They'll be able to talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having special siblings, while having a great time playing games such as ping-pong, volleyball, and other indoor and outdoor fun. Brothers and sisters may have feelings that are difficult to express, even to a friend or parent.

At Teen Sibshops, siblings will share these feelings with others who can understand. Besides peer support, Teen Sibshops provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about their sibling's disability. The workshops are held in the Teen Center at the El Camino Branch YMCA in Mountain View.

Cost: $10 donation is appreciated
