Education Forum: Supporting Emotionally Healthy Asian American Youth
Featured Speaker: Eliza Noh, California State University - Fullerton
Professor Eliza Noh's research has found that pressures on Asian American young women, as well as cultural divides between young women and their parents, contribute to higher rates of suicide than other populations. She will share her findings and recommendations with us.
A panel of local professionals will provide additional information on local resources available to youth and families.
While Dr. Noh's research centers on girls and young women, information at the forum will also be relevant to boys and young men. All families, youth, and other individuals are welcome!
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact AACI at (408) 975-2730 or info@aaci.org.
