Blended Families & Step Parenting
Parents will learn about step family developmental stages and to normalize the step family as a family unit. This workshop will also explore issues that are characteristic of the “blended family” experience including establishing parental roles, coping with step parenting challenges, and steps to building a strong, cohesive family unit amid change. Workshop will be held by teacher, step parent, and Marriage, Family Therapist Trainee - Janice Shapiro. * Workshop held with generous support from John F. Kennedy University Counseling Center.
