Lucile Packard Children's Hospital:
A place of healing and hope
Lucile
Packard Children's Hospital, which is affiliated with the Stanford University
Medical Center, opened in 1991. Since then, the Hospital has grown to
become an internationally recognized leader in pediatric medical care,
research, and training.
The 264-bed Hospital was created especially for children,
from the child-friendly architecture to the family-centered care and service.
Feeling safe, secure and comfortable is as much a part of the Packard
brand of care as are the latest advances in medicine.
As
a measure of its success in treating the community's children, U.S.
News & World Report places Packard Children's #12 among pediatric
hospitals nationwide in its 2008 list of the country's best children's
hospitals. The ranking is based on reputation, statistics on hospital
performance, and data regarding quality of care.
