Supporting the Safety Net
Without community philanthropic support, Packard Children's Hospital
could not provide the level of uncompensated care or the scope of services
to help uninsured and underserved families gain access to quality medical
care.
Each year, half of the proceeds raised through the Lucile
Packard Children's Fund directly support care for families without
private health insurance. The Children's Fund also helps fund many community
programs, and has been a primary supporter of the Packard Teen Van. Another
important source of funding comes from Packard's seven volunteer Auxiliaries
whose many activities raise funds for uncompensated care and other special
projects.
