A Strong Foundation, a Promising Future |
Ford Family Surgical Center – In 2006, the Hospital's first dedicated pediatric operating rooms will open.
Vera Moulton Wall Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease – Packard offers one of the few centers dedicated to the study and treatment of this devastating disease.
Cancer Care and Research – A comprehensive center to care for children with cancer and blood diseases will open in 2005 on the Hospital's first floor.
Neurosurgery – Michael Edwards, M.D., an internationally known pediatric neurosurgeon recruited in 2004, now leads Packard's growing neurosurgery team.
Transplant Programs – Packard is one of the few children's hospitals that perform life-saving pediatric intestinal transplants, building on its highly successful kidney and liver transplant programs.
Children's Surgical Research – Regenerative medicine and tissue engineering offer pediatric surgeons better materials and techniques to heal children.
Cystic Fibrosis Center – Innovative treatments help increase the life span and improve the quality of life for patients.

Palliative Care – Established in 2001, Packard's program for children with life-limiting illnesses was one of the first of its kind to be offered at a U.S. children's hospital.
Pediatric Emergency Services – At Stanford University Medical Center, Packard now provides the area’s only emergency services just for children.
Pediatric Imaging Suite – Northern California's first-ever pediatric CT/MRI imaging facility pairs state-of-the-art technology with therapists who guide children through the procedures.
Mary L. Johnson Center for Ambulatory Care – The center offers new and expanded facilities for Packard's busy pediatric and specialty care clinics, serving local children.
Family-Centered, Child-Friendly Care – The Hospital cares for the whole child and the family through programs such as child-life therapy, interpreter services, and chaplaincy services.

Children's Biotechnology Initiative – Packard physicians and Stanford scientists are stepping up their collaborations to tap into the frontiers of biosciences in search of treatments and cures.
Center for Advanced Pediatric Education (CAPE) – The only medical simulation training program in the world for pediatrics and obstetrics opened in 2002.
Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Clinical Fellows Fund – To train future pediatric leaders, Packard established the country's largest endowed fund in support of pediatric clinical fellows.
Distinguished Packard Fellows – This novel program supports the work of leading faculty in medical and surgical specialties.
