Cohen spends some time prepping for a lobbying trip to Sacramento
he'll make with several other pediatric specialists. Their goal:
to protect California Children's Services, a statewide program that
covers medical costs for low-income children with certain physical
limitations and chronic health conditions or diseases. "I think
it's made a big difference in the lives of kids," Cohen explains,
"but there are proposals to put these kids into a managed care
program, which means that they might not have the opportunity to
be seen by pediatric specialists."
