How to Apply

Note: Beginning in January 2008, the Foundation no longer will fund in Area 1 (protecting children ages 0-5 from injury). More information>>

First: Please read What We Fund and determine if your program fits within our area of grantmaking interest.

Next: Eligible organizations serving San Mateo or Santa Clara counties must submit a brief letter of inquiry (LOI). Within five business days, you will receive a confirmation that your LOI was received. If you are invited to submit a proposal, an application packet will be sent to you within approximately six weeks of the LOI deadline.

Timeline
The Foundation has two funding cycles each year and funding decisions are made by the Board in June and November. Letters of inquiry (LOIs) and proposals must be postmarked on or before the dates shown in the application timeline.

Applicants are encouraged to contact Foundation Grantmaking staff at Grants@lpfch.org for assistance at any point during the application process.
