We also continue to support our current grantees that operate programs that help foster strong emotional and behavioral health in children ages 9-13.

The Foundation embraces the World Health Organization's definition of health as "...complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease of infirmity."

Our Current Grantees
Promoting Emotional and Behavioral Health Among Preteens

The preteen years are a critical time for a child's healthy development. The combination of new experiences and emerging personal behaviors can influence lifelong health, as well as put current health at risk. Accordingly, the Foundation's focus in this area is to build on assets, foster resiliency, and promote the healthy development of this age group, thereby reducing the likelihood of high-risk behaviors.
