Preteen Body Image Stats |
According to a 2003 survey of 460 parents in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties:
- 22.9% rated their preteen's (ages 9-13) body image as fair or poor.
- 22.2% of parents were moderately concerned or very concerned about this issue.
- 15% of parents thought information about self-esteem/body image would be helpful to their preteen child.
