Just Released: CA Addendum to National Report on Social and Emotional Learning for K-8 Students
You may remember the foundation-commissioned report, "The Positive Impact of Social and Emotional Learning for K-8 Students," produced by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), and released at the 2008 Preteen Summit. The report summarized the impact of social and emotional learning (SEL) programs on students, and found that SEL programs yielded multiple benefits in both school and after-school settings. We are pleased to announce the release of an addendum to this report that examines emotional health problems among students in California, with an emphasis on San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, and profiles examples of effective local programs.
