Purpose
This grant builds on previous awards to support expanded media coverage of children’s health issues in California. Improving the system of care for California’s children requires a high level of continuing public awareness. The expected news and feature articles will focus on public programs and policies related to children’s health and issues that affect children with special health care needs.
Outcome
This grant increased coverage of challenges for children with special health care needs and children with medical complexity in California. Their stories were cross-published by several large news outlets, helping to bring awareness to critical challenges in the system of care for children.
