Dear Network Member:
I'm pleased to let you know that our program on improving the system of care for children with special health care needs is featured in the attached "Views from the Field" article in the Oct. 22 edition of the Grantmakers in Health Bulletin. The Bulletin provides a forum for health grantmakers to share information and insights, and this piece provides valuable national recognition for our work.
In the article, written by David Alexander, MD, foundation president and CEO, and Ed Schor, MD, senior vice president, you will recognize the Network's advocacy priorities for children and families. These include advancing care coordination and planning; supporting families in self-management and advocacy; and identifying strategies for financing the care of children with special health care needs. Network members participated in selecting these priorities through a survey and meetings held around the state. Our projects and grants support all of these areas.
