Helping Families Obtain Durable Medical Equipment and Supplies Through the California Children's Services (CCS) Program
Obtaining needed medical equipment and supplies in a timely manner frequently is difficult for families of children with special health care needs. The National Health Law Program (NHeLP) analyzed the policies of the California Children’s Services (CCS) program, which is the starting point for many families to receive authorization for equipment and supplies. NHeLP attorneys developed a guide for advocates to assist families in navigating the complicated CCS process and understanding their legal rights.
